In conjunction with Global Road Safety Week 2026, observed from 8 to 12 May, Pos Malaysia’s Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) Unit reinforced its commitment to protecting its frontline workforce through a series of meaningful road safety initiatives. These efforts were further strengthened by a dedicated webinar held on 14 May, underscoring Pos Malaysia’s belief that safety begins with every individual—especially the Pos Wira who are on the road daily, delivering essential services nationwide. Guided by the spirit of We Deliver Safely, these initiatives reflect Pos Malaysia’s continuous commitment to embedding safety into everyday operations, decisions, and behaviours. Behind every parcel delivered is a Pos Wira with a family waiting for them to return home safely.
Why Road Safety Matters in Logistics and Postal Services
Malaysia's roads present real challenges, particularly for motorcyclists who form a significant portion of the nation's logistics and delivery workforce. For Pos Malaysia, road safety is not merely a compliance requirement—it is a responsibility rooted in care, respect, and trust for every employee who rides to connect lives and businesses across the country. For Pos Malaysia, road safety is not only about compliance or targets — it is about protecting lives, caring for one another, and ensuring every Wira gets home safely to their loved ones.
This commitment aligns directly with Pos Malaysia's first strategic pillar: Highly Motivated, Engaged and Safe Employees. Because delivering great service begins with ensuring that every team member returns home safely at the end of each day.
Road Safety Starts With Me: Building Personal Responsibility
The week began with a special webinar titled “Road Safety Starts With Me”, featuring a guest speaker from Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan Malaysia (JPJ). The session highlighted the importance of personal accountability, safe riding behaviour, and mindful decision‑making on the road.
Employees were reminded that while systems and policies matter, true safety begins with individual action—every helmet worn, every signal checked, every rule respected.

Taking the Message Nationwide: On-Ground Engagement
To bring road safety closer to employees, the OSH Unit rolled out a nationwide Road Safety Campaign across Pos Malaysia branches. Through direct engagement and face‑to‑face interaction, the campaign strengthened safety awareness at every level of the organisation.
As part of this effort, 8,000 “Tunggang Dengan Bijak” posters featuring five distinct road safety messages were distributed nationwide. Displayed at branches and operational areas, these posters serve as daily visual reminders that safety is a shared responsibility.

Amplifying Awareness Through Storytelling and Practical Tools
Pos Malaysia further amplified its road safety message through the launch of the “Tunggang Dengan Bijak” campaign video, developed in collaboration with JPJ. Through engaging visual storytelling, the video reinforced key road safety messages and resonated strongly with employees.
To support riders on every journey, the OSH Unit also distributed Emergency Contact stickers and Doa Naik Kenderaan stickers to all Posmen nationwide. Placed on motorcycles, these serve as both practical emergency references and meaningful reminders to begin every ride safely.

Leading Beyond the Organisation: GLC OSHNET Road Safety Leadership
Strengthening its leadership role, Pos Malaysia proudly hosted the GLC OSHNET Road Safety Leadership Summit 2025 at POSCODE, Bangi, officiated by Datuk Jazmanie Bin Shafawi, Deputy Director General (Planning & Operations), JPJ.
The summit served as a vital platform for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and strengthening the collective commitment of Government‑Linked Companies towards the Vision Zero mission—zero road fatalities and serious injuries.
By convening industry leaders, regulators, and safety professionals, Pos Malaysia demonstrated that road safety extends beyond individual organisations—it requires collective action, shared learning, and sustained leadership.
A Culture Rooted in Care, Trust, and Responsibility
Through these initiatives, Pos Malaysia continues to demonstrate that road safety is deeply embedded in its organisational DNA. Safety is not viewed as an obligation, but as a shared commitment to ensure that every Wira returns home safely.
This reflects Pos Malaysia’s purpose:
We are passionate about building trust to connect lives and businesses for a better tomorrow.
When employees feel safe, respected, and cared for, they deliver better service. When organisations invest in their people's wellbeing, they build stronger communities. And when road safety becomes a shared responsibility, lives are saved.

Moving Forward Together
Road safety is a continuous journey. By empowering employees with awareness, practical tools, and shared responsibility, Pos Malaysia reinforces a workplace culture where safety begins with each individual—supported by strong leadership and collective action. Guided by the spirit of We Deliver Safely, Pos Malaysia remains committed to protecting its people while delivering for the nation.
Because at Pos Malaysia, every safe journey matters and every Wira matters, protecting our people is fundamental to delivering for the nation.
